Team Invites & Roles
RentBridge uses role-based access control: every user in your organization has a role that determines what they can see and do.
User Roles
| Role | Who gets it | Access |
|---|---|---|
| Owner | The person who created the organization | Everything — including the platform dashboard, settlements, and billing |
| Admin | Trusted managers | Everything operational, plus admin-only views like the platform dashboard |
| Member | Everyone else on the team | Day-to-day operations — fleet, rentals, customers, maintenance |
Role checks are enforced by the platform, not just hidden in the UI — for example, the platform-wide marketplace dashboard returns "access denied" for members even via the API.
Adding Team Members
Self-service team invites are coming soon. During the beta, we add team members for you:
- Email support@rentbridge.ai from your owner account
- Include each person's full name, email, and desired role (admin or member)
- They'll receive credentials and can log in at rentbridge.ai/login
The same goes for role changes and removing a team member — one email and it's done, usually same-day.
Best Practices
- Principle of least privilege: most staff should be members; reserve admin for people who genuinely need platform-wide visibility
- One account per person: don't share logins — the audit log tracks who did what, which only works if everyone has their own account
- Audit trail: all significant actions (equipment changes, rental transitions, settlements, deposit decisions) are written to your organization's audit log
Troubleshooting
A team member can't access a page?
- The platform dashboard and admin views require the admin or owner role
- Ask them to log out and back in after a role change — roles are carried in the login session
Someone left the company?
- Email support@rentbridge.ai to deactivate their account — access is revoked immediately
