Agents / Utilization Agent

Utilization Agent

The Utilization Agent analyzes how effectively your fleet is deployed — which units earn their keep and which sit idle — and turns that into concrete recommendations.

What It Does

Every week, the agent reviews your fleet and produces a utilization analysis:

  • Fleet-wide utilization rate — what share of your equipment is rented vs. available vs. down for maintenance
  • Per-unit performance — revenue and booked days for each piece of equipment
  • Category patterns — which equipment categories are in demand and which are oversupplied
  • Recommendations — units to reprice, relocate to another yard, or consider retiring

Where to See It

  • Analytics page: fleet utilization, revenue month-to-date, top-performing equipment
  • Fleet alerts: low-utilization warnings alongside overdue returns and maintenance-due alerts
  • Weekly report: the full analysis lands in your reports every Monday

How It Connects to Pricing

Utilization is a core input to the Pricing Agent and the dynamic quote engine. High utilization in a category pushes quoted rates up; persistent idle capacity pushes them down. The learning loops track this per category so the effect compounds as your rental history grows.

Running It On Demand

Admins can trigger a fresh utilization analysis anytime from the API (POST /api/v1/agents/utilization) or ask for one via the support chat.
